NASCAR is actively looking to get out of its agreement with Motorsports Games

Someone also recently exposed that company as being run by con artists. Apparently all they've done for 25 years is acquire tiny companies, get funding, rinse & repeat all without actually really making games. They just give investors the impression they make lots of games because of all the defunct companies they acquire. They took NASCAR for one hell of a ride

I didn't play the game but I do know it had its share of problems. However I do also know it was way better than the Heat franchise lol.

Heat 5 was light years more playable than Ignition 21. I know because I was a stupid soul that bought both. Ignition is absolutely putrid. It doesn't even have a rear view mirror. Car is undrivable, AI is retarded and will not spin out but will send you in a heartbeat. Motorsports Games is an absolute abomination. Bring on iRacing/Monster, or Codemasters.

I have to think that with NASCAR and Iracings relationship that could very well be on the horizon. They are working on their first console game now for the World of Outlaws perhaps they will get NASCAR.

All my computers are business class though, not gaming computers.
Still, updated NR03 is a solid #2 option. iRacing is pricey alone but with all the best equipment you could easily spend $15k for the whole package. That's really the only way to play it IMO and hopefully gaming computers will eventually drop in price. So far they're the one piece of technology that seems to keep rising

Any brand new computer now would likely come with Windows 11. That's a dealbreaker.

Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here still running NASCAR Racing 2003. Damn GOAT.
Have you tried iRacing? The basic bones for it is the code for the Papyrus NASCAR games. In fact, I think the core group of guys that made iRacing are old Papyrus guys.

Edit:. Reading above I see that you have a business and not gaming rig

iRacing is suprisingly light on specs to run. Just need a decent wheel and pedals

Not as light as you think. If you're on a laptop, you still need a gaming laptop. I have one of the best laptop/tablets money can buy and it can't run iRacing.

And a desktop that meets the specs for iRacing will run you at least $700. I could upgrade my desktop to run it and it would cost about $300 in upgrades (GPU and power supply). Then I'd probably need a secondary hard drive which isn't that expensive. Plus there's the cost of iRacing itself.

I still play Heat 4 for NASCAR Gaming fix. I hope this $hit company isn’t the one making the Indy Car game

NASCAR says it ain't so:
“NASCAR and Motorsport Games have a long-standing relationship in place and the status of our partnership remains in good standing.”
I don't care who makes the next NASCAR game, as long as it's good. Hopefully Ignition was just an anomaly.

The cost of iRacing and the needed tracks/cars needed to run the NASCAR series is the biggest deterrent. I'd shudder to tally up what I've spent.
