Langley Speedway held its 3rd annual “Hampton Heat 200” last night under a relatively cool cloudy night, and threats of rain threatening the area all day long. With huge support from the city of Hampton, and in conjunction with the city’s 400th birthday, this was a big race for America’s longest continuously NASCAR sanctioned track.
The 4/10 mile flat track offered $10,000 to the winner of the race, that had a format of two 100 lap segments. Supporting this Late Model Stock Car feature were Langley’s regular classes of U-Cars, Super Trucks, Legends and Grand Stocks, all for a full night of exiting racing at this family friendly track.
