OK, ona cold and rainy day with no racing to watch, I'm going through some pictures that I took last year. This one of the Nascar Southern Modifieds, taken at Southern National Raceway Park I thought was pretty cool.

Great picture. I am one of the few who recognizes who those cars belong to. BTW, the first/last car, #23 is the car of the current Whelen Southern Modified Tour champ, Brian Loftin, the same guy who tested at Bristol earlier this year. That race, if it was last year's, was won by my favorite, Burt Myers.

BTW, they were scheduled to race today at Caraway Speedway, but rain held on for the day. We wanted to go, but instead we are watching basketball.

I wish they would run a little bit closer to me. Martinsville is about as close as they comes, but it's close to 5 hours away, which kind of exceeds my limit. Maybe.
 
That is a pretty cool picture, I like quality racing photos.

They're racing at South Boston on April 4 this year. That's a bit closer to you. We'll be there if it doesn't rain. Sure did miss out on today's racing.

I had forgotten about South Boston. But unfortunately, I have to be in DC the evening of the 4th.
 
Cool picture!! We have modifieds running here every Friday night during the season. As expected, ours is a bit shorter. They have to wait for the snow to stop. LOL My best friend's nephew has been driving modifieds for quite a few years now. Now there's one pit area I'm sure I can get into and even watch the race from if I wanted. :D
