See what happens when NASCAR gets people who can actually sing to perform the National Anthem? :beerbang:

****ty crowd, ****ty weather. If y'all love this track, you better show up next year.

Huge props to Roush, Childress and Gibbs for driving up the cost of competing in this series just like Busch and Harvick are doing in Trucks and Childress is doing in ARCA.

Money buys speed. It happens in all racing from gokarts, up to late models, Nascar/arca, and f1. Money is what makes racing go round.

I have a buddy who owns a Legends Car and works as a tech inspector sometimes. He told me about Childress-built Legends cars that his grandsons competed in that were simply unbeatable. After the boys graduated to bigger things, Childress sold the cars, and they kept right on being unbeatable. Everyone thought that the cars had to be illegal somehow but they were not.

Yep. It's incredibly lame, but I don't see what they can do about it.

Seems this is what happens with bigger budget teams in the lower series. I remember when Jason Labonte was tearing everything up in the #44 car at Caraway Speedway. It's one thing to dominate the field in a lower series, but quite another to just make the field when it's a top tier series. Childress has a bit more equipment than did Labonte, but when it all shakes out, if a driver doesn't have it, the teams will fold or find a new driver. How many times have we seen a team dominate in the ARCA series, but when the driver stepped up to Cup, failed to make a name. But as we have seen in the last few years, a team from a big mega-team garage has the big advantage in the lower series.

Major Yawner of a race. BORING. No wonder the stands were empty. The Nationwide drivers need to realize that "rubbing is racing" and make it more exciting. Carl led what... like 5000 of the laps today? BORING!

Even Kahne got a top five. Now you KNOW that was a BORING race.

Even Kahne got a top five. Now you KNOW that was a sign we should stop bashing him.
