Just make the rule that the whole field gets frozen when a caution comes out.

They've indicated that if implemented it would be a scoring nightmare. At least that is their excuse.

That's crap: CART, IRL and F-1 do it. It's called technology. A transponder is installed in each car with a yellow light in the dash. Scoring reverts back to the last green flag lap in any dispute. The'll implement this system finally when someone is killed racing back to the yellow flag
