Good luck to everybody at Atlanta!

I finished better than I thought I would.

Still need 11 picks, about 24 hours to the deadline.

A lot of people with 44s in the first race, lots of time to make that up and you aren't alone so don't give up now!

Well I guess great mind's think alike eh Dun? It does surprise me the way the picks are scattered all over the board though. I thought they would be a smaller group.

Just noticed that Google Drive is cutting the spreadsheet on page 2 in half in kind of an awkward way. Will try to fix that for next week.

That's interesting. It's week two and it's not a plate race, and still no one has picked the top dogs like Gordon, Kenseth, Harvick...ect

You don't wanna use the big dogs up too early.
why, you can't use them but once, and you want the highest whenever you use them. wished i would have used Joey up last week.

We all have a different strategy but I think luck trump's strategy in this instance. I'm still gonna strategize though. :D

Good luck to everybody at Atlanta!
I sent in my pick 5 minutes to 12:00 central time last week. I took Earnhardt. Oh well. I'm out then.

Ahhh man everyone is using the same strategy haha.....good competition that way though

It's all good. Save em, don't save em. If someone picked Jeff Gordon this weekend and he crosses that finish line first at the end, that player made the right choice. Points is points. Or, in this case, no points are desired. In any event picking the winner is a great pick regardless of where that falls during the season.

Yep. My strategery is to do what I always do and pick the wrong driver at the wrong time all season.

Just so everybody is clear, the deadline will always be THURSDAY at NOON EASTERN TIME.

Sunday or Saturday race, doesn't matter. It will always be that time.

As for when to pick em, dpk is right. It's kind of irrelevant if you use a big dog at Daytona or Homestead. The points are what matters. You gotta be sure to get good results from the big dogs since this thing will come down to who can best manage the Casey Mears type drivers.

Some free info for you guys, FL won last year with an average finish of 15.5. If you aim for that or better over the course of the season, you will be golden.

Subs like Regan Smith or guys getting a shot in a better-than-usual ride like David Ragan can be hidden gems. But I think most of you figured that out.

Ok, that's all the free advice you guys get. I'm sure FL wants to kill me for spilling this.

How did your driver finish?

Unofficial results:

Martin Truex Jr. - 6th
Brett Moffitt - 8th
Paul Menard - 13th
Kasey Kahne - 14th
Danica Patrick - 16th
Regan Smith - 17th
David Ragan - 18th
Trevor Bayne - 19th
Kyle Larson - 26th
Justin Allgaier - 20th
Jamie McMurray - 40th
Landon Cassill - 43rd

87 points is good, right? right??? right?????

Excuse me while I "dispose" of a 24-pack of beer.
