Just an interesting statistical tid-bit regarding the performance of "A list" driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. when picked by players of the game.

Of the 18 players who've picked Junior to date (@2 Sweet has yet to use him), only six players have gotten better than a top 30 finish from the ol' boy.

So the question for you, @2 Sweet, is this:

I've had an avg finish of 5 the last 5 races...movin on up

Keep it up for the last seven races and you'll end up with an average of around 16 points per race which could move you up into the top five, or better, by the end of the season. :dirtbike:

I have a good feeling about Martinsville :D

Deadline for this week's pick is Friday, October 6th, noon Eastern time.

Just a heads up that a few errors were discovered in the "used chart' found in the first post of this thread.

To be absolutely sure if you've used a driver or not just check out the colored "results chart" in the second post of this thread.

I'll do a thorough QC of the "used chart" before I post it again prior to the Talladega race.

Those boys got a helluva draft on me, I don't think I'm going to be able to get to 20 consecutive weeks as the leader, tank is about empty.

Has @Michfan basically conceded or will he be able to win this thing by finding a way to "conserve fuel" to make it to the end ?

Based upon this week's picks we could see the leader board continue to tighten up.

KuBu was having a great run today until that bull****. Goddammit.

I am going to keep doing my best, but I can't catch Michfan.
I thought I was going to gain 20 points today, until Kurt decided to throw away his top 5 to spite me.
Thanks Kyle Busch for spinning out repeatedly until everything was effed up.

For the first time this year, five separate players picked the winner of the race.

Congrats to @Snappy D, @2 Sweet, @jpell15, @Fordracing7, and @DanicaFreak, who each picked Martin Truex Jr., driver of the 78 car.

@Snappy D and @jpell15 join @Michfan as the only players to have picked three race winners this year.

Speaking of @Michfan, although he's now held onto the standings lead for 19 consecutive weeks, his lead (30 points) is now the smallest it's been since the 16th race of the season (Sonoma) when it was a mere 15 points.

Meanwhile, although @Greg dropped from third to fourth place in the standings, for all practical purposes he survived the **jinx alert** put upon him last week by reducing the number of points between him and the leader for the seventh consecutive week. Then again, his pick of Kurt Busch was looking to finish much better than 22nd until an unfortunate late race incident.

Congrats also to @aunty dive whose pick of seventh place finisher Jimmie Johnson moved him up three spots in the standings and into the top ten for the first time since the 18th race of the season at Kentucky.

So buckle 'em up, boys and girls, as with six races left it looks like we might have ourselves a real barn burner of a finish on our hands.

Just have to survive Dega next week, then it’s on

Like Stenhouse, my season is over.

Whats up with all the stenhouse hate....guy ran solid today and is still in the hunt. Way overachieved already for the year.

I'm not hating on him at all. Glad to see him run well tbh. But, similar to me, he's an odd man out in this championship.

Well until he wins Talladega

Two more weeks of C-list drivers and it's all downhill from there. Maybe Sorensen at Talledega and Whitt at Martinsville, then A-list(and Larson) all the way.
