~ Pick'Em Picks to Date - Charlotte #2.jpg

For those interested, I'm not quite finished double checking the "Drivers Picked" chart for accuracy.

I should have it up tomorrow.

Deadline for this week's pick is Friday, October 13th, noon Eastern time.

The game rolls on as each and every player has submitted a pick for this week's Alabama 400 at Talladega Superspeedway.

I'll post the picks after the 12:00 noon (Eastern time) pick deadline.

Anyone thinking about changing their pick must have it in before then.

Good luck and happy motoring !

Brendan Gaughan, picked by five players, is the fan favorite this week as 12 out of the 18 picks predictably consisted of "C list" drivers.

Personally, among the "C list" drivers, I like the chances of Cole Whitt considering that, not including last July's race at Daytona when his engine apparently blew up early in the race, he's finished on the lead lap in eight out of the last nine restrictor plate races that he's been in, with an average finish of 18th or so in those races.

But that's just me (and the two players that picked Whitt).

This was the hardest pick of the year for me. Initially I had Yeley until they announced Marks in the car instead. I almost went with Marks, but wasn't comfortable going with a road course specialist on a plate track.

It came down to Whitt and Gaughan. I picked Gaughan because ECR engines > whatever Whitt is running.

Not sure what's gonna happen. Oh well. It's a total crapshoot anyway :D

I went with Ty Dillon because I had to put him somewhere and all I have left are "A's.. Maybe Dega will smile down on me and I'll get a top 5. :D

3.8 avg points last 7 races....too bad i stunk it up so bad early

Took a hit today with McDowell and still gained some points but my second choice was Ty Dillon. It came down to do I pick McDowell for the Talladega lottery and use Dillon at Kansas or Pick Dillon for Dega and use McDowell for Kansas. Kinda feel like the championship will come down to that for me. (Rick Allen Voice) “I’ll get through this adversity and RACE for a ChampionSHIP.”

Congrats to @Fordracing7 who, by picking race winner Brad Keselowski, has now picked the race winner two weeks in a row. As he mentioned in an earlier post, @Fordracing7 has averaged a little less than four points per race over the last seven races.

More impressively, in the last four races @Fordracing7 has had two third place picks to go along with the two race winning picks while gaining seven spots in the standings (to eleventh place) and reducing the number of points that he trails the leader by almost 90 points (he now trails by 116 points).

@Michfan, the game's leader for 20 consecutive races (since the first Kansas race), picked last place finisher Justin Marks which resulted in every other player cutting into his lead. Second place @Snappy D now trails @Michfan by a mere 20 points with five races remaining while five other players are within less than 100 points of the leader.

Good luck fellers !!!
