Charlotte 1 - Kevin Harvick (as much as I hate to, but need some points
)
And by picking Kevin Harvick in the Coca-Cola 600,
@dirtfan picked up more points than he coud have possibly hoped for.
In fact,
@dirtfan became only the fifth player this year to be presented with the "Wiping Up the Rear" award, thanks to last place finisher Harvick checking out of the 600 less than a quarter of the way through the race.
Rumors are currently circulating that Harvick, already guaranteed a spot in the Cup series playoffs, activated a "tire exploding" device on lap 83 of the 400 lap race, thereby causing the #4 car to slam into the wall and allowing Harvick to exit the race, and the premises, in order to spend some quality Memorial Day weekend time with his wife and children.
go figure
Not to be forgotten is
@MIracingfan, who in picking Harvick is also entitled to place the "Wiping Up the Rear" award in his trophy case.
Meanwhile, ten players picked a driver that managed a top ten finish, including
@DanicaFreak, who took home this week's "Highest Finishing Pick" award by picking race winner Kyle Busch.
And although he didn't have the best finishing pick of the week,
@DC76 had the most upward movement in the standings with his pick of the sixth place finisher, Jamie McMurray.
@DC76 moved up six spots in the standings, thereby enabling him to recover from the six spots that he lost following the previous race at Kansas.
@Blake Hylton only increased his lead over second place
@Mopardh9 by one point, but he continued as the game leader when his pick of "C list" driver Alex Bowman finished ninth. Since the race at Las Vegas, the third race of the season,
@Blake Hylton has continuously held on to either the first or second place position in standings.
