The deadline for submittal of picks for the next race is Friday, March 9th, noon Eastern time.

Not surprisingly, the driver of the #4 "Broken Support Brace Special" was chosen by the most players for the upcoming Cup race at ISM Raceway, commonly known as Phoenix.

Kevin Harvick was chosen by six players while Ty Dillon was the choice of five players, including the current leader of the pack, @SlicedBread22
Good luck to all and thanks for participating.

I just looked at the all time averages and picked the highest active low tier driver. Gonna have to assume others did the same thing lol

For what it's worth, Ty Dillon has been bumped up from the "C List" to the "B List" this year, at least in the eyes of whoever created the Fantasy Racing Cheat Sheet game. :idunno:

I am thinking going with the fav was not smart, dem Chebbys have found some speed.

Me and Buescher are starting 24th and I'm happy happy.

Looks like we are basically down to 32 still a healthy field

Sliced might be tough to catch. Big key to this game imo is the greenies HAVE to deliver a single digit result.

Not really. Every year we have a player that scoots out ahead and then fizzles out because they run out of aces in the hole. That's the fun part of this game, up's and down's throughout the year. For me I just need some more up's. :D

Yea it’s a long season. Last year it came down to the last race, our leader has though gotten off to a great start. I anticipate he’ll keep it rolling and be tough to catch. At least from my vantage point on second to last.

You're only 11 points behind me. :D

It's still way too early guys

That being said... Come at me bro! :D

I agree with Hotrod tho... U can't have an A list driver wreck out that would have anyone in a bad spot.

My "A list" driver that finished poorly was Johnson and he's pretty much a "C list" at this point, so I dont feel too much pain with his 27th place finish.

For what it's worth, last year @Michfan moved to the top of the leader board following the fifth race of the year and managed to hold, or be tied for, first place after 28 of the last 32 races of the season (including 25 consecutive races) before he lost the championship tie-breaker to @Snappy D.

And although we're very early in the season with most players still trying to recover from dismal results at Daytona, only three players have an average points per races less than 16.0, which is generally considered to be the average for players who win the game's championship.

But michfan DID lose. :p

kkfan91 looking to make a comeback with his strong pick.

I'm working my strategy

Working a strategy known only to him, @kkfan91 takes this week's "Hard Luck Award" as his pick of Jeffrey Earnhardt brought the #00 car home in 35th place at Phoenix, a solid 20 laps off the pace. @kkfan91 maintained his 33rd place position in the standings, somehow still trailing @westcoast4shr, who hasn't made a pick for the last three races. :idunno:

In fairness to @kkfan91, he's used only "C list" drivers so far, including one who was replaced prior to race day resulting in @kkfan91 being hit with a dreaded "ineligible pick" for the Atlanta race.

Meanwhile, congrats to @Blake Hylton who, using nothing but "A list" drivers in the first four races of the season, jumped into first place in the standings when his pick of Denny Hamlin finished in 4th place. Congrats also go out to @Conover for his move into a tie for first place.

The previous standings leader, @SlicedBread22, and the four other players who selected Ty Dillon took a considerable hit when the #13 car could only manage a 30th place finish.

Finally, congrats to @Conover, @Ashstrodamus, @DC76, @DUN24, @jws926, and @LewTheShoe who each picked race winner Kevin Harvick, now winner of three consecutive races. Nine players have used their Harvick "card" so far and each has been rewarded with a first place finish.

( And I posted that before seeing the results...... And he was caught. Oh well.
Now to go wash the egg off my face. )

I need to go find my Rookie list and see how they are doing.
