Congrats to
@Mopardh9 and
@Michfan who each picked 2nd place finisher Kevin Harvick in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, thereby sharing this week's "Highest Finishing Pick" award.
As a first year player of the NASCAR Pick 'Em game,
@Blake Hylton continues to impress as he has now picked drivers that have gone on to finish fourth or better in five of the seven races completed so for this season, including race winner Kevin Harvick at Atlanta.
With his pick of 4th place finisher Erik Jones in the #20 car,
@Blake Hylton stayed atop of the standings and managed to create just a little breathing room between himself and second place
@SlicedBread22 who, along with
@ChexOrWrex and
@kkfan91, picked 8th place finisher Bubba Wallace in the #43 car.
The top of the standings remains relatively tight as nine out of the top ten saw their picks finish 11th or better at Texas. The top eight in the standings now have an average points per race of less than that seemingly magic number of 15.0.
@Conover, who had been in the top five in the standings until submitting his pick after the deadline for the last race, had the most upward movement in the standings this week with a jump of seven positions into eleventh place. His pick of Kurt Busch finished in 7th place.
Finally,
@AdoubleU24 took a hit when his pick of race favorite Martin Truex Jr. wrecked early and finished dead last, some 254 laps off the pace. In doing so, Truex saw to it that the season's fourth "Wiping Up the Rear" award was bestowed upon
@AdoubleU24.
