I have fallen from Grace big time this season…

Rough couple days, forgot to get a pick in. Oh well. That’s gonna be bad for me points wise. It happens.

I almost changed my McDowell pick, for some reason he doesn't do well at 2-mile tracks. Blaney was my Plan B, so I guess the end result wasn't terrible.

I had the 1 point I needed to get the lead then the brain trust at RCR decided to pit on the last caution. Glad I got him out of the way

When "The Commissioner" posted the picks yesterday, I saw that I was "on an island" with Chris Buescher as nobody else picked him. I'm happy with a P6... after snagging a W last week with Dipsh*t Dillon... a sign that maybe my lousy racing luck has changed for the better. One-third of the season remains, and I'm hoping to close in on a top 10 finish.

Congratulations to @Brentford, the recipient of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the second place finish of his pick, William Byron, in the Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was also taken by @Brentford as his pick of Byron allowed him to gain four positions in the standings, moving him to a Top 20 spot in the standings.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was shared by @Old 97 and @Blaze due to the disappointing finish of @Old 97's pick, Christopher Bell, and the failure of @Blaze to submit a pick that resulted in each of them dropping four spots in the standings.

The "Top Five" club saw a sixth member added when the 7th place finish of @dirtfan's pick, Zane Smith, vaulted him into a tie for fifth place with @Conover.

The top of the standings remained unchanged, although leader @ol'whatshisname doubled his lead over second place @Spotter22 and now leads him by two points.

Finally, the lead story of the game continues to be the drive by @aunty dive towards the top of the standings as his fourth consecutive Top 10 pick (including three Top 5's) has resulted in the long-time board member moving into third place in the standings.

With two-thirds of the Cup season completed, the race for championship of the 2024 Pick 'Em game is heating up.

Michael McDowell's 19th place finish vaulted me into the top 10. That was unexpected, but I'll take it!

Fair warning to all who have saved the "best drivers" for the stretch run...

25% of the remaining races are at drafting tracks!!! Chaos shall prevail!!!

Daytona - Atlanta - Talladega... these are tracks that will destroy your "best drivers," while handing top-5 finishes to genuine weekly backmarkers. I've saved a couple of drafting specialists. Have you?

I'm in a place where I have ten "B" drivers left, so I'll have to use two "C" drivers. I may or may not have those "C" drivers saved for plate races. But honestly, I do that all the time and it never works out, except of course for that one time I picked Justin Haley and he won due to rain.

Hmm! So I gained 14 points on the lead this weekend. There’s 12 more races left. 14 times 12 is 168, and I’m only 123 points out of first. So math, what you’re telling me is I still have a chance to win?
It is looking like the urgent intensive gerbilfication part over who's eliminated or not making the cutoff, implications and why every Pic-em point matters will not go live until there are about 9 or 10 races remaining at the earliest.

That's crazy, must've felt very satisfying when you saw Haley get the win.

Pretty harsh to get a top 10 out of Hocevar and end up dropping a spot in the standings.🤣
Think big picture, the setback is only temporary, you got a top 10 from C class rookie, I would call it a sucess
