Congratulations to
@kkfan91 and
@donthaveanickname, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Shane Van Gisbergen, in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
After an absence of three races
@kkfan91 returned to the top of the player standings while
@Conover, the leader after the last race, fell to third place thanks to the 18th place finish of his pick, AJ Allmendinger.
The second position in the player standings remained in the hands of
@dirtfan as he continued on a tear by picking a Top Ten finishing driver (Kyle Busch) for the sixth time in the last eight races, including the last three races.
The Top Five Club saw
@JJ_14 join the ranks for the first time this season when his pick, sixth place finisher Tyler Reddick, furnished him with his seventh Top Ten finishing pick in the last nine races, including the last four races.
While
@DanicaFreak was able to hold onto his membership in the Club in spite of picking Allmendinger, the Dinger's disappointing finish caused
@RayinTX to get dumped by
@JJ_14.
The "Most Upward Movement" award was claimed by
@Clutch who used the second place finish of his pick, Chase Briscoe, to move up four spots into the Top Ten of the player standings for the first time this season.
After being mired deep in the player standings for the early part of the race season,
@Clutch has been on a roll and has picked a Top Ten finishing driver in six of the last eight races, including the 1st and 2nd place finisher in the last two races.
Although the pick of Zane Smith looked promising during the early parts of the race, his 27th place finish was cause for
@ken to drop seven spots in the standings, thereby sticking him with the hard luck "Slipping and Sliding" award.
