Director of driver attitude adjustments . . .
Congratulations (takes a deep breath) to @DanicaFreak, @ken, @JJ_14, @Hawaii808, @REBS31, @Spotter22, @Clutch, @LewTheShoe, @2 Sweet, @Truex_rox, @DC76, @Blaze, and @Gators423!, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Shane Van Gisbergen, in the Grant Park 165 on the Streets of Chicago.
With a pick of the 32nd place Michael McDowell, @Conover barely managed to maintain his position at the top of the player standings as @dirtfan took the second place position with his fifth Top Ten finishing pick in the last seven races.
The Top Five Club saw the return of @DanicaFreak (at the expense of @antman12) for the first time since the Bristol race while both @kkfan91 and @RayinTX held onto their memberships in spite of having not picked Van Gisbergen.
The hottest hand in the game continues to be @JJ_14 who, in his determined quest for the game's championship, has now picked a Top Ten finishing driver in six of the last eight races and, along with several others, is knocking on the door of the Top Five Club.
Not to be ignored is @Clutch (rumored to know the results of the race before it begins) who, like @dirtfan, has picked a Top Ten finishing driver in five of the last seven races as he makes a push for a Top Ten spot in the standings.
The "Most Upward Movement" award was claimed by @LewTheShoe who used his pick of Van Gisbergen to move past a tight pack of players in the standings into 16th place, a solid gain of eight spots
Thanks to the 39th and next to last place finish of his pick, Will Brown, the "Slipping and Sliding" award was tied to a string and fastened to the rear bumper of @donthaveanickname's car under the cover of darkness.
It may still be there.
