After a dreamy 9 race stretch, I'm back to reality. I already made my pick for Indy; I have high hopes for this race.

I'm throwing this one away for a feel good story.
I'll be back at it next week. 😊

My pick actually qualified great and would also be a feel good story of sorts. With that said, I’m expecting a 30th place finish.

I would have been happy with just a top ten from Reddick....

That’s why this is so tough. Your guy could get taken out not even halfway into it like mine did, or he could be top 10 all race and basically get taken out by a rain shower with 5 to go. NASCAR fantasy is so much harder than fantasy games in other sports.

I almost forgot to pick. Then I stayed up and debated for over an hour last night when I thought of it, checking practice and equally etc.

i ended up with Gragson. Not that I thought he would do great, but he was decent, 15-20th place speed, and which would have been pretty good for him honestly and would get that pick out of the way. After all, it is a marathon, pick em, not a sprint. And of course the fact that we do see some upsets at Indy lingered in the back of my mind, especially with the weather forecast. I felt good about the pick.

Turned out great. :dunce::booya::whoopee::banned:

Congratulations to @Conover, @JJ_14, @Magicmiler, and @2 Sweet, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of their pick, Bubba Wallace, in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The top of the player standings changed hands as @dirtfan, who's held the second position after each of the last three races, finally managed to overtake @kkfan91, the leader after the last two races, thanks to the 10th place finish of his pick, Carson Hocevar.

The Top Five Club saw @DanicaFreak drop out due to a disappointing finish by his pick, Eric Jones, while @Hawaii808 rejoined the club after an absence of seven races with the 15th place finish by his pick, Austin Cindric.

Former game champion @Clutch finally cooled off after picking a Top Ten finishing driver in seven of the previous nine races (including four Top Five picks) when his pick, Ty Dillon, finished several laps down in 28th place.

Meanwhile, @Mr. E and @Old 97 have picked up the baton as they have each picked a Top Ten finishing driver in each of the last three races.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was snatched by @Magicmiler and @2 Sweet thanks to their pick of the race winner which enabled each of them to gain six positions in the standings.

Finally, the 25th place finish by @donthaveanickname's pick, Kyle Busch, resulted in him taking a five position drop in the standings which was cause for yet another disheartening, yet necessary, presentation of the "Slipping and Sliding" award.

JINX ALERT !!!

Props to @JJ_14 who in the last 11 races has picked three race winners along with two other Top Fives and three other Top Tens in a pedal to the metal, smoke 'em if ya got 'em charge towards the top of the player standings.
Funny that you mention 11, my first 11 races were terrible, and my next 11 have been stellar, with only one finish outside the top 30 during that span.

@dirtfan is on pace to have the best season ever in this game. But as we all know, things can go south in a hurry. We'll see if he can make it happen.
