nascar popularity?

Will nascar ever be more popular in usa then the nfl???

I say yes, because you can watch all of the teams at once instead of two at a time.

With Nextel coming in, I think it would symbolize the changing of the guard so to speak. The demographic of NASCAR which was the Southeastern U.S is expanding all over the country, and fans of different ethnicities, backgrounds, origins etc. are now flocking to see the sport, and these changes are for the better of the sport. I hope it isnt too long until a minority driver can win in NASCAR.

Also, the grizzled veterans like Jarrett, Rudd, Martin, Petty and Marlin are handing to torch to the new guys like Dale Jr, Harvick, Busch, and Johnson. These young guns will be dominating and winning races for the years to come and the promotional PR and concept of the sport will revolve around them, and that's what will help promote the sport over other sports.

Of course, there will be growing pains along the way. What kind? That I cannot say for certain.

I voted no, i love nascar as i do all other racing (except f1 because its the best...lol) but dont see it beating football. *Specially since the chiefs are my home team and are doing good!

As much as I love Nascar (and racing in general), I don't see Nascash beating the football hoards.

Nascar could have been more popular than football. But with morons crapping in their own nest with the changes they gonna make .Nascar has seen the summit so it's down hill now.

Not in Wisconsin anyways...I'll always watch a race over a Packer game & there are quite a few that will do the same, but most of the casual racing fans will be watching the Packer game 1st & foremost.
