NASCAR Scene

That's a shame that day has come. I used to subscribe a long, long time ago. It was a good publication, full of detail on the last & and upcoming races. It was one of the only sources of information on the sport that you could get here in western PA. None of the local papers covered anything more than the finishing order. Then, with the invention of the internet, (thanks Al Gore), it became old news. The news is instantaneous now. It is a shame but NASCAR Scene became obsolete. Now..... Let me go out and shovel my driveway before this 'global warming' thing makes my shovel obsolete as well. Again, thanks Al Gore.

Newspapers are a dying media. It's sad that Scene had to layoff so many people. I enjoyed reading their papers even though I could get the same info days ahead of time via the Internet.

Sign of the times unfortunately. Everything has to be faster and easier driven by technology, downside is jobs are lost and not created and people power is no longer needed, just a IT guy sitting behind a desk monitoring it all from home in their gym shorts.

Too bad, as the Scene as already stated was a good rag to read.

All is not lost. Nascar Scene will become an enhanced Nascar Illustrated concentrating their coverage in a web based format.
The whole article can be found @ Jayski's.

Printed media is dead. Who wants to read old news and pay money for it when you can get it real time and for free online?
