NASCAR schedules tests for 2013 cars

Cup teams will have the 2013 model for an Aug. 7-8 test at Martinsville Speedway that is aimed at rules tweaks to make the cars lighter and help Goodyear develop tires with more grip to improve racing. The 2013 car also will be tested Oct. 4 at Talladega Superspeedway, Oct. 9-10 at Texas Motor Speedway and Oct. 18 at Kansas Speedway.

Good question since Chevy has yet to unveil the street version of the SS.

That's it. With Penske leaving and no one currently signed up to drive for Dodge, there's no one to test the car.

Interesting article on what Goodyear is trying to accomplish with tire tests. Also Dodge is hoping to have a car ready for the Talladega test. Guess the big question would be who's building the car? After reading the article it leaves me to think that something is in play with Dodge in 2013.
