Has anyone played this yet? Phenominal game just incredible. The things you can unlock are worth it alone but the career mode is awesome too. The career doesnt start you out as a good driver in good equipment your stuck with crappy stuff until youve made a name for your self and you get to pick real sponsers for your car. This game is a must for all nascar video game fans.

Yes I have.

The career mode is pretty good so far. I've won bout 40 races in my first 2 years, and I'm on veteran mode. Just got offered the 11 Hooters Ford in career mode, first WC ride I got offered so far.

I think EA has really improved on the gameplay, but the rival-ally mode sucks because whenever you slightly tap a driver's car, they'll retalliate by knocking you into the wall or into the grass. Besides that I do like the way that EA has improved on everything else.

 I wanna play.....sounds like FUN

40 races. Holy crap the best ive finished is 5th other than that i finish in the top40. Whats your secret?

The trick is to really work on the setups on the cars. It'll be really easy once ya figure out how the gear ratios work and how to tighten up or loosen the car.

Another thing is to take two tires on the pit stops (if you're racing on 5%) and on that pit stop, to either loosen up or tighten the car to compensate for how much grip and bite the car will lose when cornering because of the worn tires. That and the pack will run you down pretty fast but then you do have the advantage of track position.

Also, let off the throttle to save fuel and share draft as much as possible so you can take less fuel when pitting. Hopefully you'll pile up some top 5 finishes and when you do, some good rides will come your way.

In my opinion, the easiest tracks to win at are Daytona, Talladega and Bristol in your rookie year. Adjust the tire pressure at Daytona and Talladega to about 30 psi and you'll take the pole.

Here are some gear ratios you might wanna use for the tracks. If you could keep your car in control in the turns then you'll be fine.

Also, I'll be uploading my memory card save via Sharkport. If you guys have Sharkport (thing you connect PS2 to Computer with so you could download stuff to your memory card) you can download the memory card save.

You must live in front of your ps2 happy. I do like the game especially with some of my hand picked music during the races. A little SRV cranked up , can't beat it.

Well, yes I do have my PS2 and my computer in the same room  . I use the in-game music and I often play "Action" performed by Powerman 5000. One of the best songs on there IMO.

I have an xbox and just turn off the game music & use my own saved music. The new game does have better tracks than the old in my opinion, though.
