Who's more hated, 'Creepy King' or 'Digger'?

When Burger King switched to the new creepy King as their spokesman, it certainly was a radical change for the fast-food giant. The new advertising spokesman was a real man with a huge headpiece that made him a cross between a junior college mascot and a bad Halloween costume.

Now, there is a new ad campaign involving Burger King that has upset some NASCAR fans. Most of them are female and they have been making their views known across the Internet and also in the TDP emailbox........

saw this commercial on scifi yesterday and wondered wth? commercial is idiotic, i prefer digger.

I wonder what audience this ad is really aimed at --- supposedly it's children.

But will a child get the Sir Mix-a-Lot parody? And will a child be fascinated by the booties so prominently displayed?

They're Sponge Bob Square booties. Much ado about nothing IMO. I'd think that they would find the original song a little more offensive than the Square Pants parody?

I like square butts and I cannot lie.

It does have some funny lyrics...
*when a sponge walks in, four corners in his pants like he's got phonebook implants
*SpongeBob I wanna get wit ya cuz you're making me richer
*swanging through the seaweed tangles is a butt with sharp right angles
*booty is booty

But can it really compare with the Hardee's commercial with Padma Lakshmi? I mean when she's licking the catsup off her ankles, it makes me want to run out and and well buy a hamburger may not be my 1st choice but you get the idea.

here they are playing that commercial every 5 minutes it seems like. Annoying as hell.

I guess difficult times call for desperate measures. I really have no idea who Burger King is trying to attract, but IMO, this ad is rather dumb.

This commercial is, simply, HILARIOUS! Especially given that it is actually sir mix-a-lot doing the vocal, not just some dude off the streets. It's very Wierd Al-ish, but with the actual artist doing it instead of Al.

Of course, it doesn't make any sense, and it certainly doesn't seem to be well aimed at the proper audience, but it IS funny:D

Folks, like it or not, we are in the hip hop age. Burger King isn't going after the over 50 group, and other than AARP, very few others are as well. That group has already made up their mind as to what they like whether it's fast food, beer or pain killers. Just look at any BK when you drive by and see if there are any PT Cruisers out front. If not, then you know who's buying.

I know this commercial has stirred up all kinds of discussion for some reason I just ignore it, don't know if it's because I tune out that type of music for the most part or I try not to look too long at the creepy king, I guess I just think it's dumb. As far has who it's marketing the young parents (what age group is usually the parent of a small child, my guess is that many of them are youg enough to be fans of hip hop) and teenagers who won't pay enough attention to the Sponge Bob tie in.

Butts that are shaking in your face you find a waste of space...Dude, check your pulse.
That, or turn in your man card.
They're not shaking their butts at us. Their shaking their phone books at us.

Now if I was a phone book, i'm not so sure i'd be complaining. Or if they had just tights on...

They're shaking their square butts at'ya. But then I suppose you're a conventionalist and only want round butts or heart shaped butts. How about butts that stick out so far you can rest a dinner plate on them? Are they out of bounds. I ask because some cultures find those very attractive.
I never thought you were a square butt racialist but I'm beginning to have some doubts...

I don't get the uproar over this commercial myself. I think the commercial is hysterical. Does it make me want to go eat at Burger King? No. Does it make me laugh? Every time.
