NASCAR wants to hear from you.....

No takers? I hear a lot of complaining on here about NASCAR and those in charge. Maybe you want to remove a rear window or build a better safety fence? Oh well, I thought some may be interested.

Dear NASCAR,

Please create a touring Street Stock Racing Series.

Posting it here wont help. LOL

All the survey consists of is social media bs.. I thought they might be interested in stuff worth a damn. Oh well I used up 800 characters anyway. Haha

NASCAR needs their own TV channel. It's time to work out a deal and make it happen!

Checked it out and filled it out DP, never seen one that looks like that, dontcha think? ;)

To tell the truth I hadn't filled anything out on it yet. I always fill out the fan council ones each week. I thought this one was mainly for people that weren't already members. I just wanted to give those without that benefit a chance to make their voice heard. I didn't realize that it was any more in depth than that initial screen. Going to go fill it out now. Maybe I'll send them Fender's window idea? ;)

thanks dpk. I used 999 words. Since I knw you're all interested in my opinions, here it is.

I think nascar needs to make clear that intentionally violent wrecking will not be tolerated. It should be made clear in a meeting that every driver will be held to a high standard of skill when clearly intentional contact is made, and they will own the results of that contact. No excuses. nascar will look at in car video, wheel angle, brake and gas pedal readings to determine if there was an effort to 'take the wheel out of his hands'.
We fans are sick of the open wheel level of respect these guys have been racing with. We like have at it, but nobody will race hard if insanity like Atlanta and Gateway isn't dealt with harshly. Turn a guy at 190? Take a week off. Turn someone and drive thru them? Take a week off. They all have the skill to bump a guy up to scrape the wall and ruin his day without putting him in any real danger, so testing the safety equipment WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
We want a racers agreement, not the insanity to preserve the boring gentlemans agreement.

Then I asked for a free Darryl Waltrip mute button.

Agreed. And I used up the available space as well!

"Negotiate continuous coverage from TV partners
Have more standalone Truck and N'wide races at non-Cup tracks
Don't sanction another race at 1.5- or 2-mile track
Quit penalizing drivers for opinions, esp. when asked by media
Do something, anything to safely eliminate restrictor plates
Can't do that? Run the Daytona road course instead
Return the Shootout to original format
If you won't replace the All-Star race with a points race, at least move it to different tracks
Consider replacing long races (>400 mi.) with shorter main events preceded by two same-day qualifying races. Offer points for top finishing positions in qualifying races

Continue offering the most entertaining racing available"

I has 250 characters or so to spare.

I took the survey, and here's what I wrote at the start:

First off, I would like to say I am a huge NASCAR fan. I post on a NASCAR forum almost every day, and have been to most Cup races at Texas over the past 8-10 years, as well as a race at Charlotte and Bristol. And except for Daytona, I have really enjoyed this season so far. But, I have a few complaints. First, Please get rid of the chase. I want to see the driver who is best all season win the championship, not who is best in just the last 10 races, even if that means a driver running up a huge points lead. Second, please diversify your schedule. IMO, There are way too many 1.5 mile tracks (though I shouldn't complain since Texas is one). The Nationwide schedule is really sad, with 7 of the last 10 races being at almost identical tracks. I would also like to see Rockingham get a 2nd chance in Cup with one date a year. Third, please start over on your website, with computers in mind this time instead of just touch devices. And last, please don't penalize drivers for their opinion.

I think there were only 4 or 7 characters remaining after that. On the third page when it asks me how does social media influence me, since "forums" wasn't listed as an option on the previous page (what social media sites do you use), and NASCAR doesn't run this forum, I answered "Don't know/no opinion" on all of the questions.

Interesting; I didn't see that page. It's probably because I didn't check any of the social sites (FB, Twitter, etc.) listed on the previous page.

Don't tell fans that. They believe their opinions on drivers actually make a difference.
They probably don't care so much about our opinions on drivers. That's for sure. I think they do listen to fans though. I think that's where our double file restarts, gwc's and unfortunately the Chase idea came from.

I told them to bring back North Wilkesboro and Rockingham, bring back the Southern 500, get rid of the restrictor plates, bring back Richard Petty and kick out that Jap junk.

Don't really want any of that, but seems like something an ornery NASCAR fan would ask for.

All the complaints are going to be for nothing I mean I told them to not listen to terrible fan ideas;)

I told them to bring back North Wilkesboro and Rockingham, bring back the Southern 500, ...
Screw the Southern 500, at least screw running it on Labor Day. I roasted in that September heat many times. Mid-May is a much better time to be at Darlington.
