Does anyone have any good recommendations for a webpage similar to Nascar.com where I get standings, results, and info about this weeks race WITHOUT loading 2,342 images, streaming video, and in a format where you can actully find what you're looking for?

Nascar.com is possibly the WORST website I know of that has 'professionals' working on it....

It gives me a headache and takes forever to load...aaaaaah! :einstein:

Thanks!

jayski.com is a rumors page, but he has some decent stats and whatnot. I also like to go to racingone.com they also have live quals too.

Wish I could, MH, but if you're out in the country, you are royally screwed.

I absolutely HATE Nascar.com because of all the "stuff".

That streaming video with the audio is the worst thing in the world. I like to surf in peace.

:D

we're out past the boondocks and we're on "wireless broadband"

Nascar.com has it's purpose, and I love Trackpass.....but I know what you're saying.
Try http://insiderracingnews.com/ and see if they better suit your needs. I LOVE that site and even correspond with a couple of the columnests via email.

TRL, check into a new service called Clear Wire. Never mind, they don't have coverage in your area yet. Just checked. Too bad.

There are several good sites to get your racing fix besides NASCAR.com. Of course, as mentioned, www.jayski.com is a good one. www.catchfence.com, www.racinginsider.com and www.racingjunky.bizland.com are a few more. Do a google search for racing and you'll have as many sites as you'd care to have. One other good one that I missed is www.scenedaily.com. It's a lot like NASCAR.com without the extras.

I'm in a truly backward area of East Texas. My choices are dialup or satellite.
There is a wireless service in Palestine, but unfortunately, it doesn't cover where I live.

TRL, I have dial up as well. I could get DSL or Cable, but prefer not to.
I wouldn't go with satellite if THEY PAID ME monthly!

Why not??? I know 5 people that have it and they never complain about it. I would get it if I had no choice.

yea, a few people at school have directway, kind of a tall order for 600 bucks installation, but it takes a heavy rain to loose signal and they're connecting at 50 megabytes a second.

DING! Just what I was after...scores, news, and upcoming race details all right there! Lots of other really good sites too! Glad I started this! Thanks all.

It's not really the download time that bugs me about Nascar.com, it's just nealy impossible to tell the difference bewteen the actual page, adds, pictues b/c of the crowded/overdone layout... It drives me nuts that simple stuff like race time/station are impossible to find on that site...

HOW KEWL! There is even a forum there is you so choose. I LOVE THAT SITE and the people there!

I got to meet Ron and Connie Felix a few years ago and had a good chat with them. Ron told me that I could write articles for his site if I wanted to, but that I would have to base them on fact because if I were wrong in any way, I'd be notified by a million people. :) I told him thanks, but I like to argue with people and state opinions rather than facts. :beerbang: Ron does have a good site.
