Buckaroo, I see why you go there every week, this is great stuff just watching from the couch. That crowd is awesome, sell out crowd, everyone on their feet and a vocal reaction from every fan in the stadium!

Yep Andy, that is what it is like each and every Saturday night. The mods are pretty tame most nights compared to the other series, but they have fenders and rub a lot more.
Jimmy Spencer was so full of crap that is't not even funny. Bowman Gray Stadium is about a mile from Winston Salem? It's in the middle of the city for crying out loud. Tim Brown is from Winston Salem? Not a chance. Originally he is from a small town to the west, but he now claims to be from Cana, Virginia, just over the border. Fans rooting for LW Miller? He has few fans at the stadium as he only races there once a year and he's always hated the track. The big commotion with he passed Burt Myers was from the huge throng of Myers haters. Anyone but a Myers is a big t-shirt design. Banging or using the chrome bumper a veteran move? Everyone does that.
As for Burt being a good sport about Miller putting the move on him...Burt has always been a gentleman when a faster car "moves" him out of the way. It's when he is intentionally spun he gets upset, but everyone does that too. A couple of more things to add. John Smith and Frank Flemming are big time vets of the track and have won plenty of races there so John's finish wasn't a surprise. One car that was missing and I don't know if he's running the tour this year was Brian Loftin. Brian has concentrated on the tour in the past and won the series a couple of years ago. He has come back to the stadium this year to run for the title and is second to Burt with one race left. Brian would have been a big factor had he run.
If anyone gets a chance to come to WS to see racing at BGS, come early so you can get a parking spot that isn't a mile from the track. Also there have been a lot of tail-gating this year, something that I've never seen before. Bring a cushion and a cooler of soft drinks and picnic if you like. Beer is sold in one small section if you want a brew. Those people get kinda rowdy though.

I listened to Spencer for about five seconds. I learned to tune out the annoying announcers after listening to Jaws Waltrip and Rusty Wallace all year.That was the dumbest question ever by Ralph Sheheen. "What caused that slip up?" -- um, LW Miller's front bumper.
