1.Dump Talladega,Pepsi 400 At Daytona,1 Pocono Race,Fontanaand BrickYard 400

2.Replace Them With: Iowa,Road America,Montreal,IRP,And Mexico.

3.Dump The Chase

I Think Plate Racing is a huge waste of time but The Daytona 500 is Nascar Biggest Race so we gotta keep that one but the others one bye see you plus the road courses & short tracks are Nascar's Best Races these days so adding more of them makes sense.

What you guys think? like this or not?

You'll take Talladega off the schedule over my cold dead body.

You must be Bruton Smith in disguise.

For real? Get rid of at least 2 of the 1.5 tracks, replace with a short track and road course. Montreal would be great Mosport would be better. As for the short track take Martinsville and stretch the straights to 1/4 mile.

Ummm, Brian France is CEO and part owner of nascar, Brian France is CEO and part owner of ISC the Company that owns Talladega and Daytona, therefore when the world starts coming to an end those two tracks will be the last to go.

I think the "newer" cars are pretty tough. I say reinforce the catch fence and take the plates off of 'em. That's the only fix for plate racing.

I don't think we'll ever see a stock car safe enough to race Daytona or Talladega unrestricted. Cars would be going 225+ MPH, far beyond what they're built for. I think the new car has produced a false sence of security in a lot of people's minds.

They were running over 210 with a far less safer vehicle in the 80's. These cars have come a long way from a safety standpoint. The cars have actually exceeded the safety capabilties of the dinosaur racetrack. They either need to update the track or take the outdated track off the schedule.

How is the track outdated? The safety of the car at Talladega and Daytona go hand in hand with the RP.

When the track was built in 1968 cars didn't go 200mph. They didn't "need" restrictor plates until '87 when the car speeds exceeded the safety characteristics of the 20 year old (at the time) track.

Brians greed stretches waaaaay beyond this. Bigger track, more money.

Want to slow them down but run unrestricted at Daytona and Talledega? Put in one or two chicanes. Would make the racing more fun, permit unrestricted racing, slow the cars and reduce the potential for injuries.

NA$CAR needs to race at the new F1 track in Texas next year.
I just looked at the layout of that Texas track. That looks like that would put on an awesome Cup Road race. Lot's of passing opportunities there from the looks of it. The huge elevation change would make for interesting racing. It looks like a hill climb into turn #1.

How about just knocking the banking down, so the drivers will have to use the brakes entering the turns? How about just running the road course at Daytona, and building one into Tallywhacker? Those are fixes, but they won't satisfy the bloodlusters who are more interested in 'The Big One' than in actual racing.

I was thinking the same thing.

I do not have bloodlust, knock down the banking? Tell me more about how you love California and Michigan.

Iowa should have been on the schedule 2 years ago. Gateway should have been on the schedule for the past 10 years. A track like Kansas getting a 2nd date is just inexplainable.
