Only six Sprint Cup drivers are among the 46 drivers entered in this weekend's Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway, the first standalone Nationwide Series race run on the same weekend as a Sprint Cup event this season.
Besides the four Cup drivers who are running the full Nationwide schedule – Richard Childress Racing’s Clint Bowyer, Roush Fenway Racing’s David Ragan and Carl Edwards and Michael Waltrip Racing’s David Reutimann – Roush Fenway’s Greg Biffle and Braun Racing’s Kyle Busch are entered at Nashville.
Those six will be traveling from Pocono Raceway, site of this weekend’s Cup race, for the Nationwide event Saturday night. Biffle is expected to try to make Nationwide qualifying, which is slated for 3:35 p.m. EDT on Saturday.
Several Cup-affiliated teams will have non-Cup drivers at Nashville: JR Motorsports’ Landon Cassill, Gillett Evernham Motorsports’ Chase Miller, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Joey Logano, RCR’s Scott Wimmer (who won the March race at Nashville), Kevin Harvick Inc.’s Cale Gale and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Bryan Clauson.
Two teams, Fitz Motorsports and Jay Robinson Racing, don't have drivers listed for their entries.
The Federated Auto Parts 300 is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday.
