We lost power for almost 4 hours and that was with the storm hovering over us for most of the time!

Jsut another afternoon in Atlanta, eh:)

We got hammered last night too. Big fat lightning bolts, as big as your thumb held at arm's length. And, of course, I was out in it trying to move the camper. Forgot to chock the campers wheels and pulled the hitch pin, and dang near ran myself over to boot. All by the light of lightning since the first strikes had blown out the power grid. Still wasn't back by the time I left for work. I hope it came back soon after I left or I'm gonna lose a lot of meat in the freezer.

Storms ??? What are those?

There hasn't been any such thing around this part of Texas in a coon's age. It is a danged good thing that I can pump water from the creek or my garden/yard would have shriveled up long ago.
