Nationwide at The Glen

Maybe if he just used his directional signal.................:D

And did you hear how he was crying on the radio? My god..........

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!111!! I can't believe a driver would be upset because the car isn't good enough to win. What is the world coming to??!?!?

Yeah well everyone talks about how great he is behind the wheel. Well you saw today he is only good when his car is just like everyone else.

I don't think anyone ever said that Kyle could bring a dump truck to the race track and win. I do know that whenever he is not in the 18 Nationwide car, it runs mid pack. The same thing when Joey is not in the 20. THAT is the difference between drivers.

Bottomline is that if you hate KB, you hate him and everything he does good or bad, can be spun to be bad.

If you don't like your car or the way that the race is going, you don't go public over your radio and say that you're quitting.

No. You just park it somewhere on the track and walk away from it. :D

Who put you in charge of what people can and can't do? Maybe they forgot to announce it at the driver's meeting?

I've got a problem with that right there. For one thing, that radio chatter is supposed to be between a driver and his crew. It AIN'T supposed to be public. Unfortunately it has becme that way over the years, but it shouldn't be.

But,,,but,,,,,but Na$car would then be out their cut of scanner sales and rentals.:(<-brians face

I think the drivers show remarkable restraint following getting caught up in a bonehead incident by not dropping a string of F-bombs. :growl:

SST is berry berry happy some of his comments were never broadcast...:D

It's kind of hard to police the airways since they are owned by the public. There has been talk now and then about trying to code the frequencies to keep them private, but I don't know if anyone has come up with a good solution for that. Anyway, these days all the teams are required to be able to at least receive chatter from NASCAR.

SST, even today there are plenty of f-bombs dropped on the radio but of course the most popular drivers are aware that they are more closely monitored by the public and try to keep that to a minimum. But I can't tell you how many times I've heard Kasey Kahne mutter that little four letter word.

Also, some teams even recognize those listening to them with an announcement before the racing begins. I think that is kind of corny, but on the other hand, nice that they recognize their fans.

Listening to the radio communications at the track gives fans a great chance to better understand what's going on with their favorite teams. If the language gets a little rough at times it's much more preferable than the sugar coated interviews for TV. IMHO

So is Jeff Gordon. And don't forget the misstep on TNT a couple years ago at Sonoma when they broadcast Kyle Petty yelling on his radio "what the F#%!" when he got spun.

And the part that was even funnier about this was that a lap before that he was praying and praising the lord, etc.

If they cut the radio chatter, they will take away ammo from the hater's of certain drivers.
