Here's a teaser pic of the Nationwide series Mustang that will be raced on a limited schedule in 2010. Then going full time in 2011.

Roush Fenway Racing will unveil the new ride today at 1:00pm EST. Go to FordRacing.com to watch the live webcast.

I'm suprised they're racing Mustangs. I thought Mustangs didn't mean requirements or something.

I liked the indented grille on the Nationwide Mustang. Makes it look more like it's stock car counterpart.

I wonder how the aero is on it though. Could we see an increase in horse-power to make up for a potential loss of aero speed?

Did anyone else notice the Mustang style side-swipe?

Awesome.

Wheelbase-wise it would have to be. None of the current cars in NASCAR are close in dimension to their respective production models.

True, this is just suprising because I always thought Nascar wanted teams to only run Sedan size models of cars.

Not really. Sedans are what are mostly produced, so the car companies pushed for those. But if you look at the NNS car in the pic, the back window on the side is a lot bigger than the real Mustang. So it's not excatly based off the real thing. When Chevy and Dodge unveil theirs, I'm betting they will look similar.

Chevy is running the Impala.
Now look around in a parking lot and find a Mustang and Impala parked together. Are they going to shrink the Impala or grow the Mustang? In any case they'll be charges that one gains a aero advantage over the other.

Original rules stated 2 door sedans, weren't many hardtops back then. How we got 4 door Lumina's and the Taurus was thru concession after concession trying for the elusive "parity".

Chevy is running the Camaro, Dodge the Challenger, and Ford the Mustang. Not sure how that is going to work on a limitted schedule, guess it will mean more costs for the nationwide guys because they will have 2 different cars next year.

What is Toyota going to run? Their new FT-86? Toyota doesn't have a sport car model in production right now. I hope they don't just stick with the Camry.

I stand corrected could of sworn Chevy was running the camaro.
