Dodge 22 Wins Nationwide Watkins Glen!! KURT!!

Kurt Busch wins N'wide at The GlenEmailPrintComments9Associated Press
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Kurt Busch has won the Nationwide Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International.

Subbing for injured Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski, Busch beat Jimmie Johnson by nearly a second on a green-white-checkered finish Saturday. That deprived brother Kyle Busch of his 50th career victory in the series.

Joey Logano was third, followed by Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards.

The race was mostly a battle between the Busch brothers until the second caution of the race flew with two laps remaining in regulation. They took turns leading the entire 85 laps of the race.

Forced to pit with five laps to go because he was on a different fuel strategy, Kyle Busch had relinquished the lead to his brother, and Kurt, who started from pole, was able to hold on.

I didn't catch Kyle's post race interview. He was lucky to get track handed back to him at the end after running himself off the course earlier. With JJ and Kyle racing hard at the end, Kurt coasted to the win. It's a bit harder winning these NW races when the big boys show up.

If The 88 gas man and the crew chief didn't screw the po0ch, JJ would have something for the Kurt man come the end.

jmo, but that last caution erased any complications by the gas man and the crew chief's miscall on the penalty. kurt drove away to the checkers.

18 was leading............then he pitted... kurt didn't,& Won!!:beerbang::beerbang::beerbang::beerbang:

Those Penske cars got it going on right now. I've never seen Penske this strong AND consistent.

I hate to make predictions this early in the season, but this is Kurt Busch's championship to lose. Kyle and Kevin are way too inconsistent, Carl and Jimmie are running well. But Kurt's the guy leading all the laps and the Penske cars are the cars that can win any given race.

Didn't he start behind Kurt on the last restart? Yet he still didn't have anything for Kurt. Can't blame that on the gasman or the crew chief.
