Jeff Green in the #14 again this week. McClure still not cleared to race.

It's only been two weeks since his accident. With a concussion and internal bruising I hope he takes all the time he needs to completely heal and be safe in the car. He has been tweeting alot lately though.

“I’m doing okay – about as well as can be expected,” the 33-year old Virginian said. “I’m definitely sore and battling some things this week. It’s obviously been a very long week for me and my family. I’m thankful – I’m thankful to be here and certainly very thankful for the safety initiatives and everything NASCAR’s put on display over the years.”
McClure said he does not recall everything that happened, but is sure that the car suffered brake failure.
I remember bits and pieces of everything. It’s very spotty at times after the impact. I just remember being really excited - we were in a good position and I felt like I had an opportunity for our first top-10 and we were just in a pack there. Saw the smoke ahead of me and went to hit the brake pedal and the brakes were not there. At that point, I just remember getting hit by someone and going towards the wall. At that point, I just braced for impact and that’s really all I remember until after the accident.
It’s a little bit of a heart-sinking feeling right there and, obviously, that created the impression that I was speeding up or going faster than everyone when I hit. Obviously I was – I’m just glad it wasn’t worse.”

I am expecting a fast race with very few cautions. I really hope a NW regular gets the win.

I think Eric really thought there was a strong possibility that he would get cleared to race this week. He has a lot of healing to do. Although he didn't break any bones the bruises, inside and out, were pretty bad and since it's his second concussion I look for the doctor to be extra careful about letting him back into the car. He wouldn't agree but I think that he should stay out of the car until Michigan; that would give him two more complete weeks to heal. He would only miss one more race since there is an off week after Dover.

I agree. He's a young man and one can't be cautious enough when it comes to things like this. We've learned a great deal over the past decade on how fragile the brain is when it comes trauma. I am also glad that this is getting so much coverage. Eric deserves to be kept in the spot light a bit so that he can keep his ride.

Hefty is basically Eric's personal sponsor so if the team should release Eric because he's missing so many races, Hefty would go as well.

Logano will start from the pole with Danica third. She's proven she can go fast by herself, now it's time to prove it in the race.

She certainly won't finish top ten with so many cup drivers out there. A good lead lap finish would be great after what the crew did last week.

Not sure what happened to him in qualifying; I was mowing the grass. I was referring to practice speeds.

Did you hear him say that he couldn't work up the nerve to go fast? You would think someone who's done the things he's done would have no trouble with that.

I think meant that he just didn't want to wreck the car and wanted to make sure it stuck. Obviously he's got more than enough nerve.

Danica is gonna drop 10 spots in the first few laps unless she starts throwing it in the corner the way she started to at Kansas.

Oh God, Rusty is in the booth today:(

Well Mikey brings up the only 2 races he won ( Daytona 500 if anybody on the planet hadnt heard) out of a gazillion starts, every other sentence and Darrell continuously reminds everybody of his HOF induction every other sentence. Now I hope Rusty has more class says Im proud and so forth and lets it lie.

Ms. Patrick seems to be a little more comfortable running near the front.

Reporting now that her car is too tight.
