Danica Patrick qualified 25th with a speed of 150.094 mph.

Ryan Blaney in the 8th spot and Alex Bowman in the 16 spot is not to bad either. I really would like to see these two have good races.

Danica's car was tight all around. They couldnt get it right so far, so she didnt have a good qualifying effort. Oh well, race time will be much better.

It's some kind of "I'll take my ball and go home " thing.:D

No, it's being considerate to everyone who complained and to spare TRL all the complaints about OTP's in the nascar forum threads. Since that was the norm for us in the race threads, we do it in chit chat. We post in these, but have our fun in Johali's race threads.

Logano has become the Edwards and Busch of this series now.:(

It should be all in one thread and if people have issues and they can't get over themselves then they can use the ignore feature.

I think that if people want to talk about racing or anything else they should be able to do it in the Chit-Chat section. I don't see how or why it should bother anyone else.

I just don't think there is anything that bad in he chit-chat race thread that it couldn't have been all in one thread. It's not like we have so many posters here that the race threads hit a ridiculous amount of pages. Especially when it's the nationwide/truck races.

There were a lot of complaints post and reports made to the mods. They have a point when they complain that people coming to a nascar race thread shouldn't have to read through a bunch of chit-chat, even though I think it's a bit anal. Guests coming to the race thread for the first time may be turned off. I'm in NY and nascar fans are hard to come by, so for me the chit chat race thread is like hanging with the boys and having some laughs while watching the race.

I gotta say, people around here find more things to complain about than I could ever imagine. It's pretty simple. If you want an on topic race thread, stay here. If you're more relaxed about the whole thing, go to chit chat. It's not like you need an invitation or special promo code to post there.

Yeah we should, one for the funny guys(us) and one for the up tighties.

You guys are simply hilarious. You deserve your own forum where people should have to pay to read your incredibly hilarious musings. Get Geritol and 60 Minutes to post ads and you'd be rich! :D

:XXROFL: /sarcasm

Great idea. You could get Oddi-relax and the Michigan State professors union to sponsor yours and we'll all get rich. :D

We wouldnt be having this conversation if people would just lighten up. TRL was getting bombarded with "OFF TOPIC" reports every time somebody cracked a joke or said something any one of a select few members didnt like. We have the other thread now so problem solved, but you guys are still bitchin about us because we say what we want but in another thread. I could name the thread "Johali's bitch about the bitchers thread" and talk about racing and again we would not be having this conversation. The highlighted sentence above is meant to start a pissing contest, didnt work, thats an old trick that could use a shot of geritol itself.

lol Nice.

You know me, I can't resist this kind of thing. I just hope Matt knows what an Oddi is. :D

I don't normally participate in the race threads during the race because I like to devote my race time solely to the television during race time other than having the scanner feeds playing in the background. I do go back to the race threads after the event at some point to see what the general consensus is and I guess that's why I kinda think that it's silly to have two threads, regardless of the reason. If people want to report people, hey that's what the button is for. Personally I don't use it other than spam reporting. Blocking..... I don't use that either. I come on here to hear what everyone has to say. No offense to any mods out there but I think they know how to handle themselves. If they are tired of constant reporting of certain individuals by other individuals I think they'll put a stop to it one way or another. That's part of the reason that they're there, right? Don't read anything into what I'm saying. I just don't think division of the board is a good thing. That's all.

Personally , I don't think anyone reported them . But you could pm TRL and ask . It a paranoia thing.:D

I know it was posted once by someone (Andy maybe) that he was sick of trying to wade through five pages of silly banter , to find three or four actual race comments . This might be what set them off . Don't know.
