Well, Danica will get her 2nd start in the Nationwide Series this weekend at Auto Club Speedway (Fontana) for the Stater Bros. 300. I look for a much better result from her this time. Hopefully no one will crash her out.;)

The race is Saturday, Feb. 20th at 5pm Eastern on ESPN2.

I certainly don't think that a win would do much to silence her critics. She will obviously need a thick skin to survive. And nowhere does she get more press than on this forum. They love to talk about Danica....Danica...Danaica....Danica

I have been waiting on this more than I did Daytona. Anybody can get taken out at Daytona and this, to me, is a better way to see how well she does in a stock car. Not gonna lie, I'm pulling for her here.

They did it again!

All Danica - All The Time

ESPN did it for Daytona and SPEED is doing it for Fontana. In the blink of an eye, the Nationwide Series Friday practice sessions from Auto Club Speedway are now live on SPEED at 2 and 4:30PM ET. Imagine that.

It seems that the TV ratings increases from the ARCA and Nationwide Series races in Daytona did not go unnoticed by the powers at SPEED. It should be interesting to see how they present the practice coverage knowing all too well that there is an elephant in the room they must acknowledge.

The wave continues.....

If she is only running a few races, I see where they will milk whatever than can out of it.

As soon as she goes back to IRL it will go back to normal again.

Im curious if Speed or ESPN will even cover the Nationwide practices when she isnt racing in them.

It will be a tough test for her this week. A huge difference entering the corners @ Fontana in the Nationwide car -vs- the Indy car. Good luck to her.

Danica was 27th in NASCAR Nationwide Series Final Practice at Auto Club Speedway, one spot behind John Wes Townley, LOL.

She looked and sounded kinda pissy at her press conference.

speed always cover the practices and last year espn covered a couple of them and no one wrecked her at daytona she plowed into the wreck.

Not always, not for Nationwide. There are instances where they haven't aired qualifying.

The only reason they aired the practice sessions today was because of Danica.

She always looks and sounds pissy, like a spoilt little girl. She will not make it in NASCAR.

Lets start a third Danica thread and blame ESPN for giving her too much attention.

give me a break. like she could have avoided that crash with anything other than dumb luck.

Qualifications are still ongoing. Joey Logano locked in as your pole winner. Congrats Joey. Danica is currently sitting at 36th position.:(

That's not exactly a tight field. 3.2 seconds separate the slowest and fastest. It'll take about 12 laps of green flag racing to start seeing lap traffic. Based on those numbers Danica will be lapped by lap #20. Of course, the lap times will be far different with drafting.

I'll be watching...there is only so much of the Olympic games I can take.

Wow...she went down a lap at #20.

I actually got a prediction correct. Even blind squirrels find a nut once in a while.

Danica is already a lap down running back with the start and park cars.

This is a snoozefest early on. Guess last fall was the exception.

Hey look at it this way. They aren't just concentrating on the front with this race. I wonder if they will continue showing the back of the field the next few races?

Oh my...Speeding ticket #2. This isn't going to help Danica get back on the lead lap at all.

If she were as good as all the hype would lead us to believe, she would not be making mistakes like this. Once I can understand but twice before the 1/2 way point of the race? Driving fail.

I guess Carl Edwards isn't a good driver either:rolleyes:

Speeding tickets are the only exciting thing at this track. Wake me when its over.

Man give the girl some time to learn.....I've seen Jr, Jimmy, Jeff and Tony get multiple tickets
