Saw this on another site thought I would post this if anyone is interested in seeing what has become of the track that used to regularly feature Nationwide and Indycar events yearly.

Looks like it's been longer than 9 years since it closed. Shame someone hasn't taken care of it.

Some of this was done deliberately after the track closed.

I can imagine the cuts across the track are there to keep daredevils from trying to see how fast they can drive.
A shame that the track closed --- they had some great races there.

only way that makes sense to me is if they have an injunction against racing. that track could have hosted a driving school, lower level races, be used for Nascar testing on and on. Something isn't right there. Looks like it is going to be a subdivision or a mall pretty soon.

This. They don't want the racing surface to be used again. It will be a housing development or something of that nature soon enough. Damn shame.
