NBC-vs-FOX

When NBC can come close to the entertainment value of FOX. . . I will admit defeat.
Hello. . . two laps after a pass Benny realized what was going on. . and during post race interviews he didn't know that it was Waltrips daughter. . . !!!

I have always disliked NBC. From their numerous commercials, and their missing restarts, and their "not so entertaining" commentators. One guy I really do like tho is Weber, always have and always will. But one guy who I really wish would leave is the STAT boy Allan Bestwick. He seems to simply just relay stats and provides almost nothing to make the race enjoyable. I loved it last year when he and Wally started to get into it a bit. .....Hope to see it again!

I totally missed that...She was so adorable. Anyway, like I have said before the worst of two evils...DW or Benny? They both drive me insane.

Well NBC is back and most of the excitment will be gone. They try to "ACT" like they are having a free spirited conversation in the both but it ain't working and never will. We will hear more about the Rousch team now because Benny is back. Wally and Allen ,well get a personality. :(

That was almost a good RACE FREE broad cast NBC did.

I don't know about the rest of you but I really have had it with commercial television. There was storm activity three hundred miles away from my viewing area and there was always a banner or interruption of the race. Along with all that, the commercials. NASCAR is really beginning to unwind. I guess to appeal to the folks up East the sport needs to be more friendly and political correct. I really miss the old time racing. Yes I know that ages me but when it all started it was more about racing than what ever it is about today. I for one with gladly buy into a pay for view on cable than continue with the frustration I get on commercial television. With the cost of attending the races, I would gladly give up one or two that I usually attend to pay for it.

Disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i actually think NBC is better.....im trying to watch a race...not a freakin Hollywood Production.....i think FOX is horrible with all of their sports shows...including the NFL

They both do a good job. Sure someone else could do worse. I don't belly ache as I am simply happy to see some racing within the comforts of my home.

Nbc......Horrible. Like all the other posts it flat out sucks. Like the re-starts for example.....they end up having a stupid commercial and you miss it. I was watching in-demand for the commercials and it would go green....where's NBC? Showing commercial's of the new Pacifica from chrysler...WTF!!! Man do we need Fox back with the famous "crank it up"...I have no clue what they are doing with the sound but when they started they're engine's ..hehe...it sounded like a bunch of go-karts cause you didn't have the sound quality like FOX does....All I have to say is..I can't wait till Febuary so FOX can take over.....Also they have way better openers to the race(EX: Talladega....The drivers are singing sweet home alabama) So much better....Just my 0.02$

In general I have always delt with NBC better than Fox. Maybe because they are more like ESPN, that I grew up with? I dunno.. I could never really put my finger on why. Yesterday during the race, I realized. Did you notice how many angles, etc they caught on the "big one"? I can't count the number of accidents this year that Fox simply had no coverage except from the in car coverage. Fox is more entertaining for most part. So I guess it comes down to weather you want to have an overly entertaining booth or see what is happening in the race. I tend to believe that the new race fans prefer Fox and the older fans prefer NBC's coverage.

I think this discussion could go on and on. On with the racing!

I was really getting ticked with all of the NBC commercials the other night! <_< I want FOX back!! :bounce:
