I know, my basketball junkie side is surely showing in this thread, but that championship game last night was pretty entertaining. Brittney Griner is pretty impressive. She moves very well for a 6'8" girl. She really did change the game completely with her defense and rebounding and that's not even talking about the 26 points she scored. She certainly wasn't the only girl who was impressive last night. I don't remember their last names off the top of my head, but Odyssey(sp?) and Destiny (I know those are stripper names, but what can you do?) played really well too, especially Oddysey(sp?).

I haven't watched quite as much of the women's college game over the past few years. I am primarily a huge Pat Summitt fan, and by extension, a huge Tennessee Lady Vols fan. I despise the evil empire created by Geno Auriemma(sp?) at UConn, and their recent dominance has turned me off of the sport to some degree. Baylor, and Griner, really were impressive this year though. They are the first team ever, men or women, to finish the season 40-0.

i thought the game was great. :) it's the first time i've seen griner play and she impressed the hell out of me. :)

I had season tickets for about 15 years to see the UVA women play when I lived in Charlottesville.

Baylor has a good team, obviously. the guard for ND, Skylar Diggins is also very good. I still think the best women's team was the year that Sue Bird and the other girls won the Championship with U-Conn. That was a really great team.
