Need advice for Bristol

I'm leaving Saturday morning for the race from Thomasville NC, I've never been to Bristol. Any advice on a good place to park. Bringing my Son in law as well and he has never tailgated, I've done so on football games
Pretty excited to go to one of the best tracks with a lot of history :)
So any thing you can tell me I'd appreciate it.
 
Get there early. It may be a night race but people arrive here before sunrise. I know I already told you about tailgating in that parking lot off of 394 but even along 394 people park and tailgate right along the road.
 
Park on the side of the track and on the side of the road you intend on taking after the race. You cannot cross lines of traffic to get on the other side of the road or to go the opposite direction. You'll sit there for a couple of hours if you try that.
 
I park on side of highway and walk for free!! Get there early too. Cup race last year I walked for 35 minutes but I didn't have to pay $60 to park closeby either.

Looks like my seats are in the Pearson section at gate number 1
