New Crew Chief for Shrub?

epsn.com is reporting that Steve Addington could be out as Kyle Busch's crew chief. Looks like not making the chase and subpar performance this year could cause change.

My opinion is this: Addington should have been gone 4 years ago. Kyle only made him look good last year and that was because of his driving talent and not the talent of the crew chief.

Why do I think Addington is relieved? A CC can't make a car better if the driver doesn't give good feed back.

Gotta agree.

I've listened to Kyle on Hotpass and he just sits there and makes sarcastic remarks instead of telling Addington what the car's doing.
 
KB better fight to keep him.He's not going to find anybody else willing to take his **** like Addington did.
 
Oh man, Junior fans are going to love the payback! We've been enduring comments about Junior's performance for years.

Here's the first shot: Maybe Kyle's just not that good. :D

But seriously, I don't know if it will help or not. Kyle is very abrasive. Alan Gustafson was his CC while at HMS, and has since become one of NASCAR's best crew chiefs with Martin behind the wheel.
 
Something like 12 wins in 68 races and only missed the chase by 8 points this year. It's getting much tougher to hold a job in NASCAR. :D
 
Marty just said that Addington was too laid back and Kyle needs a CC that'll throw his crap right back at him. :D

It's not like Rogers and Kyle have never worked together. I think Rogers is the more seasoned CC, having guided Tony, Joey and Denny to several Nationwide victories.
