New England weather report just for Kat

Hey Kat,

It's below zero already this evening, was just zero when the wife and I came in around 5:00 PM, and the weather service has issued warnings of windchills between 35 - 45 below for tonight and tomorrow.

If it gets to much colder, we're gonna have to dig out a jacket or at least another sweater or vest.

I've even got to have my old salamander heater fixed up so I can work out in the barn this next week. My little electric heater just won't get it warm enough to work in my T-shirt when it's below zero.

You asked where everyone was this last week? Good question. I tried to get folks stirred up with some smart remarks on that thread about tatoos and body piercing and even that didn't work.
Somedays you can't be mean, nasty and ugly when you're trying hard. Go figure!

Our kittykats told me to say something like purrrrr to that misplaced Kat in Georgia, so, purrrr to ya.
(I think they like all the kittykat pictures that you post on here.)

WOW boB, that is freakin cold! Kat says BURRRRRRRRRR instead of Purrr.

Back in about 82 it got down to about -12 with wind chill about -35 here in this part of TN. God we thought the world had shifted on it axis. I am thankful that only happens here once every 10 to 15 years.

Since I moved to Georgia, my blood must have thinned or something. I NOW consider it cold when it gets below 32.

We hit -25 degrees once a few years ago here. That was rediculously cold. I had a car at that time that the fuel injectors would freeze if is got too cold. I was out in the driveway when it was like 20 below thawing out the injectors with a hair dryer.

That car would drive through any kind of weather you could throw at it once you got it started. Oh well, certainly don't miss it.

The only real casualty of all the bone chilling cold we have had here was the battery in my truck. It gave up the ghost a few days ago. Batteries don't seem to like all these freezing temps we've been getting lately. I don't think we have been above 32 for several weeks now.

I would still much rather have all four seasons like we get up here. I hear people talking about moving south when we get a long spell of cold like this. But, I just couldn't stand having the same weather all year long, even if it was nice weather. B)

Believe it or not 4x, we in GA DO have 4 seasons but it is more comfortable than living in the frozen north!

Do you usually get snow for Christmas?

Rarely, but I just don't like freakin snow anymore! I lived in New England for 50 years and HATE cold and snow!

I could do without a bunch of snow after Christmas, but I need snow for it to feel like Christmas.

I love snow, can't wait to get back to Western Mass, Hope that March is a snowy month so i can do some snowmobiling. You guys are wimpy hell it doesn't start gettng cold until it hits -30 with a 30 mph wind.....lol. :p

We don't get much snow in this neck of the woods. Very seldom do we get any on Christmas. But that's ok. Snow is for the great white north.
