New Fan

Well this year I got into NASCAR (Winston) and I just LOVE it. My favorites are Dale Jr. and Micheal Waltrip(love his voice, lol) They are awsome and I love to watch them race. I love them both but I lean more towards Jr....he's so sexi :wub: But Micheal Waltrip is good looking too. But anyways, a few years ago I went to my first and only race (didnt really like it). I will admit it, I was a Jeff Gordon fan but that's the past.
Well after my first race(wasnt even a fan really) I never really watched it anymore. But for some reason this year I got back into it and HALF to watch it, nothing gets in my way when it comes to racing (not even my horses :mellow: ) Well sorry if Im boring anyone, I kinda do that. Well layter.

I hope so...it seems really awsome. Maybe I can learn more about the sport on here, so dont be surprised if I ask something stupid or something like that. lol

I hope to find some Jr. fans, if you ask anyone I know they'd tell you Im obscessed (not stalker type or anything, LOL :ph34r: )

Well here's a question...as you can see I just got into nascar this year and Im wondering what is a provisional qualifier? I know Micheal Waltrip is a provisional qualifier for this weekend. But what does that mean, is it bad?

Sure.Provisional starts are given to each team at seasons beginning.I believe each team has 7 to begin with.Basically they are 'fall-backs' to cover poor qualifying efforts.For example,if a driver smacks the wall during Qualifying and has to scratch his time,he can fall back on one of his provisionals,which would send him to the back of the field.The first seven provisionals run out after a certain amount of races---cant recall after how many now---then they renew and start over.

I didn't watch qualifying,possibly the lady bit him.Gave him a Darlington stripe.Not really sure...


But hey.....?Since you are new to the sport and all....Kurt Busch is a good driver to cheer for too!C'mon...I need the support on here!Besides.....Jr. has plenty of fans! :p
 
Now 97 don't be taking advantage of a new poster and trying to pon Kurt off on them.

Well I was a Kurt fan kinda, but Im more of a jr and Waltrip fan. But after what Kurt did I didnt really care for him that much, but hey they use to do worse years ago.

Personally 97, I think Luv4 needs to cheer for Matt...after all he will most likely be the 2003 Winston Cup Champ! *knock on wood, of course* :D
 
Heck no I want...I cant stand the guy, he's too good. I'll cheer for anyone who dosnt get in Jr. or Micheals way, but him and J. Gordon uh NO.

Kinda the reason I won't cheer for Dale Jr. Matt is good & earned his way into Nascar, his daddy didn't buy him a ride! :p

I think Jr. being second in points proves he's a good driver. He did his fair share in Busch racing and proved himself to be in Winston racing. Who cares anyways he's a good driver and so is Matt Kenseth, and the rest of the guys in the top 10.

You wanna talk about buying a ride, look at Petty. Is he any good, I dont think so.
 
All the sudden, I've been doing some sociological research and I just found out that the Earnhardt fans hate any driver who's successful.

It was Gordon a few years ago, now it's Kenseth, Newman or Busch. Wow, no tellin who'll be next
 
It doesn't matter if someone's dad bought them a WC ride or not, if a driver doesn't have the talent to run up front they won't stay in first class equipment for long.

Matt and Junior both have the talent. :) :)

Not me. I admire talent behind the wheel, no matter who it is. I may not root for them to win, but I have admiration for the talent it takes to win.
 
research? You do spend too much time on the internet dont you? LOL You half to understand I just got into racing (Im still learning about it) this year. Oh and Im not an Earnhardt fan, Im a Earnhardt Jr. fan, there's a differance lol

And I hate to admit but I use to be a Gordon fan, scarey lol
 
Because a majority of NASCAR fans are Earnhardt or Earnhardt Jr fans, their belief basically dictates most of the general opinion in the NASCAR world. It's just NASCAR sociology, a new subject invented by yours truly, I might type a thread on that someday.


Well, despite that I have to admit, I am partly a Dale Jr. fan. And as a partial Earnhardt Jr fan I welcome you to the board
 
I was NEVER a Earnhardt fan, I didnt like him.
