nope, wired. I have a wireless but the batt's are dead.

thats why it has a network cable plugged in. Synergy doesnt like a wireless link. I'm using the desktop's mouse and laptop's keyboard (but i can use the desktop keyboard as well).

google "synergy KM switch". It's tricky as heck to setup, but once you figure it out, it becomes really dandy.

I bought an HP dv6701 laptop at the end of March. It was a close-out at the time. I still have 2 more rebates to come back to get down to the price I "supposedly" paid. I was all worried with all the bad things I've heard about Vista, but I really haven't had that much trouble adjusting. Interesting that my "mouse pad" is right in the center vs. yours off to one side. I haven't attached anything to mine since I got it "for me" and left the desktops to the "kids." So far, I'm happy with mine. Good luck w/yours!

only 17's have the offset touchpad to center it below the space bar due to the full size numerical pad.

I think everybody's been having problems because they upgrade to x64 vista. x32 vista (home, home premium) are legacy OSes. My CAD origionally came on windows 98...and it runs on vista...talk about legacy.

Running on my 19" by itself, i realize the difference in widescreen and standard. Vista makes the 19" look like a 22 compared to XP on the same display.

I love my lenovo laptop. :)

I'm slowly getting used to Vista - but I've had a lot of problems with it. Most recently, my Microsoft Exchange email doesn't work with Vista.

You can still get XP.... might be worth it before you get too connected to Vista... Besides MS is already working on the next version, windows 7....

Vista will go down as a sad chapter in MS history kinda like Windows ME.

Mine is a 15.4" WXGA High-Definition* screen, so the view seems bigger and it's really nice looking. I went for the 15" since I wanted something not too heavy. Plus, the price was right. :)

This one weights 7.5 pounds and got it on sale for 867 after taxes. MY friend's 15.4 dell weighs just a hair more, maybe a pound or less.
