New Monte Carlo to be unveiled tomorrow at Indy. Look for pics to be posted on NASCAR.com or Jayski's. Get ready, Chevy guys.
Incidently, DJ took the new Fusion out at AMS today and loved it. He said it was alot more balanced than his current ride. When a driver likes a new racecar right off the bat you can bet NASCAR will be looking at it very closely.

Its not much different. Kinda like when the Taurus got a make over a couple of years ago.

I don't know for sure, but if it wasn't different, it wouldn't be new.
Unfortunately the word 'new' in the auto industry does not mean what it does to the rest of us.

As to the NACAR version, we all know what it'll look like. It'll look just like all the rest of them. Well, maybe the decals will be different. :growl:

Like all the fanfare about the 'brand new' Charger. Same damn car with a funny looking grille.

The new Monte Carlo and the old one don't look all that different, so I wouldn't suspect a big change, I bet they just change the stickers on it.

Joe Gibbs Racing had to barrow springs from the Wood Brothers to test the new Monte Carlo:

GM Racing needs to get its house in order. NASCAR didn't appreciate Joe Gibbs Racing bringing a 2006 Monte Carlo to Atlanta last week that was unprepared to get through the on-track portion of NASCAR's approval process. The car didn't make a target speed. How bad was the car? The team had to borrow springs from rival Ford, which had the Wood Brothers auditioning the new Fusion. "We dropped the ball," JGR team manager Jimmy Makar says. "There's really no excuse." NASCAR agreed to allow JGR and Bobby Labonte to return to Atlanta on Tuesday in an attempt to get the Monte Carlo up to speed

i think the grill is jutted out more and theres a little more curve to it..
