New rule just announced at drivers meeting of 3 attempts at Green/White/Checkered

NASCAR's attempt at ending under green flag conditions.

Richard Childress says that it will be good for the fans and that it can be costly for the owners.

Personally, I like it. However, if they wanted to help ensure green flag finishes, they should just stop counting caution laps a certain amount from the finish. For example, the last 10 laps or so (adjusted for the size of the track) caution laps don't count. But, just like they do now, once the leader gets the white flag, that's it.

That way, if a caution comes out with 5 laps to go, guess what. There will still be five laps when the green goes out.

Best news I have heard all year. It is going to be a disaster at Daytona and 'dega, but I truly applaud the trying of keeping the fans happy. I think at the bigger tracks, instead of G/W/C finish, maybe 5 lap dash to finish it up.
