Another piece has emerged in what appears to be a continuing shake-up in the Sprint-Nextel camp in the wake of the merger of the two companies. Mike Mooney, head of Nextel's NASCAR public-relations operation, will be leaving the company this week, quite unexpectedly. When word of the shake-up first broke in April, Sprint executives insisted they were committed to continuing the NASCAR sponsorship, despite reports otherwise that the new powers were less than interested in NASCAR.
