Just got back from the new tortoise ranch and the boys are moving right long with about 75% of the punch list complete. Carpet/floor guys are sposed to finish this afternoon, and the painter is sposed to have his touch-up work done also. It's just noon here now and I'm thinking the painter's got a lot more work than what can be done in one afternoon so we will see what we will see.

Got a call from the escrow girl and she sez sign tonight or in the morning. Gotta hold off untill all the work is done is my opinion but ya know how them women are sometimes.
:D :D :D :D

71, women are ALWAYS right, but especially in this case. You'll want to do a final walkthru before signing and if something isn't EXACTLY the way y'all want it make them fix or change it before you sign those 1,000,000 papers:) Good Luck and PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, the painter's ain't painted, the carpet-guys ain't carpeted, the electrician ain't electrified, and I could fo on and on. Everybody was cruisin yesterday and latest walk-thru looks like everybody went dead stop.

Didn't get a call from the escrow girl either which is mute if the other folks don't get on the stick....grubba grubba grubba.....

And nope, no pics......sorry

Good Luck with the grubba grubba grubba 71. Have the plumbers plumbed?

Oh yea, and the plumber's ain't plumbed....

thanks Ironman

I am hoping the insulators have insulated. The roofers have roofed. Seriously, I wish you luck. We are STILL waiting on a closing date. ughhhhh They were suppose to do the appraisal yesterday the old biddy wasn't home after she said she would be. We might be moving about the same time as you, it looks.
We are shooting for the 16th.

Yea....it gets frustrating...this is all just punch list stuff which mostly just takes time......waited almost two weeks for some papers to actually get cleared.....high-liter ruins faxes btw...and now that that's done it's grubba grubba grubba cause even when the girl calls we ain't signin nothing till the punch list is taken care of.

Still waiting.....excrow papers are in order (that's a start) but the punch list ain't done with everybody and their brother saying they've got guys coming in the morning.

the poor kid that does the handyman thing for the realtor has got most all of his stuff covered but the carpet baggers and the artist formerly known as painters are draggin their feet.......

Still in grubba grubba grubba mode.

the carpet baggers and the artist formerly known as painters have actually been on the job!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Have you had some unusual weather, or have they joined up with the heard of tortois?

Speaking of which, who will be overseeing the beasties?

No where did you mention that the tin benders did their tin bending!!:D Surely you don't expect the electricians to electrify without a bunch of tin being in their way!!:D

The tinners tinned a while back.....no worries....

as for the beasties, all the adults cept one have pretty much settled in for their winters nap. Pretty much because it comes on slowly. First won't see them out their hole for a few days, then weeks. There are a couple I haven't seen in well over a month. The babies do not hibernate their first winter as they don't have enuf food stored up. The big guys will be dug up and will spend the rest of the winter in the shed in boxes under shredded newspaper. They should wake again in April or May. Really depends on the weather.
