Hi.
My name is Penny I am new to the board. I live in central California near
Montery and Carmel. I am a Junior fan. I have always known about Nascar but only became a real fan after I got married 4 years ago. We have never been to a race, had tickets to Vegas but got ill and was unable to go.
I grew up in Phoenix, my son still lives there, so hope to see that track sometime in the next year or two.

Nice to see you Penny, lots of CA folks here. I've met several of them at Fontans at the Cup race. This is a nice board most of the time and most of the posters are great.

You are just a few hundred miles north of me. I am in Anaheim, down here in SoCal. :D We go to Fontana nearly every year, and that is the only track I have been to that NASCAR runs. We do get to Irwindale, a 1/2 mile track near L.A. sometimes on Saturday nights. They run the old Winston West series sometimes.

My top fav Cup driver is Jeff Gordon, then, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, both Labonte's, Robby Gordon, and a few more. Heck, I even kinda like ole Jimmie Spencer!!! LOL

In the Craftsman truck series, (I really love them trucks), my fav is David Starr. That's him in my avatar with me. LOL
 
Hi Penny.........

I to live in california (Los Angeles) and have been to the fontana track every year for the last 6 years......I have met Dragonlady and Eagle1 at Fontana and also Iwindale too.....two great people to know......also met wideopen at irwindale once.....he is another californian..... :D

I am a Jeff Gordon fan, hubby is a Dale sr fan and also Junior fan too (me too) plus a few others........his name on here is De Wrangler2....... :wub:

Welcome Penny! I just live a FEW miles away in TENNESSEE!! :lol: As you can tell I'm a HUGE WARD BURTON fan. I also like Jeff burton. Kick your shoes off and stay awhile...

Welcome... I am actually up from where you are.. PB if you know what I mean. Glad you can make it to the board. Some good racing up in Watsonville if you like dirt tracks. If not, come on down to LA.. All kinds of racing down there. I live down there now.

Hey Penny, I'm Kat, know about everybody on the board thru their posts and the net. I am a Jeff Gordon fan, among others. Lot's of board friends in CA and my daughter lives in the Los Angeles area. :waver:
 
Penny, you live near Laguna Seca, one of the best road tracks in the U.S. We raced there in season 2000 and came in 13th in a field of 36 cars.

That is a beautiful part of the country. I spent about 3 months in San Luis Obispo many years ago. Welcome aboard.
