It's no secret that Ryan has been a top qualifyer since he moved to the top series, but since his first couple of years on the circuit, those poles that he's won just haven't translated into wins. At present, he is tied with Ricky Rudd for having 26 consecutive races that he's started from the pole and not won. Rudd snapped his streak when he won from the pole at Pocono back in 2001. With one more hit and miss, Newman will tie Geoffrey Bodine who had 27 consecutive poles with not wins for the most hit and misses. Bodine took 8 years to break his streak with a win in 1990 at Martinsville. Both Rudd and Bodine started their streaks at the beginning of their carreers, but Newman won from the pole on his fourth try and had three wins from the pole in his first 12, but has gone winless since. Will he or won't he tie and then break the record held by G. Bodine?

He will probablt tie and then break the record. I don't see him winning.
