Newman looking for a new ride? It might be difficult to see a ride better than with Roger Penske, one of the most famous names in racing. But #12-Ryan Newman's name is suddenly out in the rumor mill. It's been a while since Newman, a Purdue grad, was making headlines.(Winston Salem Journal), of NOTE: Newman is supposedly signed thru 2009, and supposedly has talked to a few teams about a ride in 2008, including Joe Gibbs Racing.

Newman with his ol' buddy Stewart, wouldn't that be a combination? It's funny how Newman was the man to beat most places and is now hardly noticed. I'm beginning to think he was a 2-year wonder.

As far as Gibbs, Yeley better start showing some progress or Interstate will be demanding another driver. Hamlin isn't doing him any favors right now.
