DALLAS - More NFL laptops have been stolen in North Texas, home to the upcoming Super Bowl XLV .
According to Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse, the incident happened on Sunday at the Dallas Convention Center, the venue housing the expansive NFL Experience .
Janse said someone stole two laptops and an Apple iPad that had been left unattended for about 25 minutes inside a ballroom at the location. The property belonged to two employees hired by the NFL.
None of the devices contained information that would compromise or jeopardize the security of any Super Bowl-related events, Janse said.
Additionally, he said, the theft was a crime of opportunity, committed by someone who did not realize who owned the items.
Convention Center security personnel have not been able to locate any surveillance video of the theft, Janse said.
A similar incident occurred last week in Arlington , where police said someone stole, among other items, an NFL-owned laptop containing NFL and Super Bowl XLV credential information.
The computer was taken from a car parked outside a restaurant.
Three men were arrested in connection with the theft but the laptop was not recovered.
