NFL Silly Season

And in further news, apparently nobody wants to coach the Cleveland Browns.

I find that a little curious. I know they were 5-11 and they have sucked for a really long time. But, they got much better this year after their first 5 games or so. They have a lot of young talent, particularly on offense with guys like Trent Richardson, Josh Gordon, Greg Little and the like. They have a very good offensive line, including possibly the best left tackle in the game in Joe Thomas. Thomas has started at left tackle for the AFC every single season since he came into the league as the third overall pick. You don't need Sandra Bullock to tell you how important that is. I'm not completely sold on Brandon Weedon as the quarterback of the future, but he has a hell of an arm and is pretty smart. I'm excited to see what he can do in a real offense.

Joe Haden is an excellent cornerback and guys like safety TJ Ward, defensive tackles Phil Taylor and Ahtyba Rubin(sp?), LB D'Qwell Jackson, and DE Jabaal Sheard are certainly pieces you can build around.

Another huge thing though, is that their new owner Jimmy Haslem is loaded and seems very commited to doing whatever it takes to win.

So, in the last year and a half, the Jaguars have fired two coaches, one general manager, seen the franchise sold and gone from a team with one of the best defenses to having the worst overall record........ (not even mentioning the FOUR different starting quarterbacks) ........YIPPIE IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BE A JAGS FAN!!! :bounce:

You get Tebow next year. He may be 3-56 passing but he will run for a couple first downs.

Bottom line, it really doesn't matter who's playing in Jacksonville right now... nobody can perform with that much instability around them. It's like expecting a middle school kid to get straight A's in a broken home.

I'm a Jaguars fan for life (or until they get shipped off to Los Angeles which is when I'll become a Ravens fan) but it's extremely frustrating watching this. Blaine Gabbert is just awful. I'd take Tebow over Gabbert anyday.
