Bob Bahre, the owner of New Hampshire International Speedway is in the Intensive Care Unit of a Maine Hospital in serious condition following an auto accident in Maine.
Police said his Chevy Blazer left the road and struck a tree and that he probably would not have survived the crash if he had not been wearing his seat belts and the airbags had not deployed.

I picked this information up from the local news this evening; I doubt I will be able to talk to anyone at NHIS until Monday, but I will try to contact someone tomorrow and post any other news as soon as I hear it.

Thoughts and prayers for Bob and his family.

I just found more information on the front page of the That's Racin.com website.
They also have a link to an article in the Concord Monitor posted.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Bahre family, hoping for a complete recovery for Bob.

And I join you in prayers for the Bahre family. Hope Bob is not badly hurt.

I received an email from Fred Neergaardt, PR manager at NHIS this morning. He told me that although Bob's injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening and Bob is expected to make a full recovery.
He also wanted to thank everyone for their concern, prayers and well wishes.

A bit of good news for a Monday morning.

Thank you so much, boB for that information on Mr. Bahre. It is certainly some good news for a Monday. ;)

Glad to hear the good news about a full recovery. The Bahre's are great people and have a great facility and go out of their way to try & please everyone from the drivers to the fans.
